Anna, the girl in this photograph, is one of the most talented young individuals I know. She sings, and paints, plays the guitar, and writes words far beyond her years. I am blessed to know her and to have had the opportunity to attempt to capture her beautiful spirit on camera. =)

I love the colors in your image and I'm surprised that it didn't place higher in the challenge. This is a huge step up from your portraits from only a few months ago and it shows great improvement in your photography. I'm glad to see quite a few comments and a favorite on this entry.
Lovely. Great choice of background for this excellent shot. I'm a bit confused by the title, unless you are doing a series of studies, and even then the emotion I feel conveyed here is not intimacy. The hands in particular, and also the facial expression, to me convey a feeling of insecurity rather than intimacy. Love the Celtic coloring of hair/eyes, and how you picked this up in the dress and background.
I have passed on this photo a few times now as it has a few stories for me and I needed to think about it .. that's what a good photo does in my opinion - makes me think of stories .. I love the hesitancy in her pose .. the way she is holding on to a part of her hair .. her gentle cradling of her guitar .. the texture in her dress matches the texture in the b/g which creates a consistency that I also like very much .. so I am going to give it my highest portrait score for this challenge and thank you for the story .. a 9
