Thank you for nice comments! The background is actually a white wall that turned blue with tungsten white balance: the subject was lit with a tungsten lamp and the background with natural light from the window.
And yes, I wish I had done something better with the bottom part...

Nice observation :) Good lighting too.
If you'd stuck it on some fake grass or frozen peas, it would've looked like a tree on a lawn :)

Grog get round and heavy. No feel good, cannot chase fast meaty animals like when Grog was youngling. Wise one say Grog need to eat better. More green things, less fatty mammoth. Bah! Grog is grate hunter and fighter, eating of tender plants embarrasses Grog. But Grog has grate plan. Grog hunt Brok-olee beast with spear. Fight to death, then eat. Grog is still grate hunter.

...brok-olee taste like weeds that grow outside cave. Pthew!
