Shot this picture this week, it was a slightly foggy night. Plant is well lit with HPS lapms, hence the orange glow. These kilns run 24/7/365 at an internal temperature of 2200 F. This plant produces 200,000 tons/year of high calcium lime for water treatment, paper, and steel mfg. and environmental uses.

The glow of the lights really gives this shot an impressive feeling. The longer exposure really brings out the details in the factory. Feels almost like an alien world.
Congrats to a fellow Wisconsinite..I gave you a 9. I thought the eeriness of the fog and lighting gave a very dramatic appeal...good compositon. p.s. Go Pack!
I lik the moodiness of this type of shot. I think I'd try and darken the sky a little more. I presume you've received clearance from Dept. of Homeland Security to publish this...
WOW! This is my winner for this week!
Great subject, very good composition, excellent exposure and depth. The reflection on the railway and the way they bend lead you into the picture.
Very good detail love the color, good choice of time for exposure, I think it doesn't look so nice in daylight. :-)
