A ribbon, I never thought this one even had a chance....... My first! Thanks everyone, from the comments I see several people would like to see a little more. I will post some more images in a few days. The Gorge and the bridge are pretty impressive, there is also a tram to the right of where this shot is taken that goes over the gorge and a rail car that takes you to the bottom of the gorge. You can walk or drive over the bridge and the decking is all wood with gaps between the wood so if you do not like heights this can be a pretty intimidating place. On the down side it really is a tourist attraction and the cost is a little pricey but well worth seeing.

First of all, congrats on your Red Ribbon. I missed this challenge, but saw your pics on your thread. Thanks for posting the info on Royal Gorge; gotta put it in the "places to visit" list :)
wow.... My first reaction as "I want to drive that bridge!!" My next reaction was: "there's no way I want to drive that bridge!!"
The bridge is not bad, the Tram that goes over the gorge was a little intimidating, you are slightly higher and hanging from a thin wire. I asked how long will it take to hit the ground if it fell, the operator said 8 seconds, the people riding with us were not all that excited I asked the question....lol
should have asked how many seconds it takes to reach terminal velocity directly after he answered the first question.....

Congrats on your first ribbon!! (I loved your background on the bridge. Thanks for including it! You may want to edit it and add the state, however. I had no idea where this was. :)
It's an awesome photo but I feel it's more about the scenery then the slot. However, I've looked at 24 images in the challenge so far and it's most certainly the finest of the photos.
