Try diabling your flash, and taking pictures with available light.

Beautiful model - but gosh that pink neon hat is UGLY! But without it - I guess there is no neon - so it has to stay! Nice composition and exposure. Catchlight in the eyes adds more impact. Nicely done.

Is that a hat or a muppet? I notice the focus is more on the hat than the girl. Original, definitely.

The flash makes this image look a bit flat. Less direct lighting would make the shot more interesting.

The model needs to be placed further from the background. When the model is shot so close to a background, the composition has a very claustrophobic, compressed feeling. It's a nice pose and the cropping is good but the lighting appears harsh and unflattering. I like her hat but it isn't a cowboy hat so the title is a bit confusing. Also, she is pulling at some pink lining (or something) from the inside of the hat and that is extremely distracting.
