I wasn't going to enter this challenge as I wasn't feeling that inspired. But then I thought what type of abstract image could I produce and this is what I created. I ended up having fun and my wife hates it so I just had to enter it even though I know it will score in the 4's or lower.
Looking up through a pine tree I positioned myself so the sun poked through the branches. I then set the aperture wide open, ISO at the lowest setting and the shutter at a speed that would not over expose the shot but slow enough that I could get some motion blur when I rotated the camera body whilst holding the lens still. The sun was centred to reduce its motion blur then the image cropped produce a better composition.
Besides having fun what I really wanted to achieve is a shot that is very different to what is generally expected.
