I really struggled with this challenge. I took a lot of pictures into the sun that had no flare and a lot with a little flare but were not interesting images. In this image my daughter was on a ladder looking down at me. It was an unflattering angle below her chin. Plus her right eye was a bit hooded, and there was some distracting trees in the upper right. However, it had the nice ring of lens flare, and I had few decent flare pics to choose from. So, I cropped it severely. I like the way the ring of her iris echos the ring of the flare. Because of the really heavy crop, it looks a bit soft and that will hurt the score. Thanks go to my wonderful daughter, who was so patient with me when I repeatedly asked, "Can we try a few more flare shots?"

I like the composition and tight crop, but wanted to see the lips not chopped on the left. The big flare really adds interest to the whole image. Maybe it's my monitor, but it looks a bit over-saturated and over-sharpened here. (On a side note, I think I recognize your model, so I'm not voting... and I think you are going to win your BYOAKC match). Good luck!
