This was shot at a Highlands game Competition it was full day light with no shadows to even hope for. I am learning full daylight shots as well so good practice.
This is a large caber it is approx. 20-25 ft. in length and about 115-120 lbs it has to be thrown 180 degrees completely.
I cropped the photo first 1:1 to focus only on the thrower and the caber. I then adjusted exposure recovery (due to the harsh sun) added a little fill to eliminate some shadows added some black to make the caber stand out.
I then put some contrast in to make things pop a little added vibrance and a little saturation to replace the sun wash out. I then sharpened the focus some and a little noise reduction to make the caber gleam a little more.
