 Basically I used my 18-200mm on the camera and held my 50mm between the sun and the camera. I had a silver reflector off to my left. The 50mm lens aperture was closed down. The "star" is more prominent than the globules, but hopefully it counts...

PP consisted of adjusting sliders,cloned some distracting blown out hairs off the edge of my hand and added a vignette.

Very clever. Typical flare but not from the lens in your hand :) I had a similar idea but in the end went with a more traditional shot.

I googled "lens flare" when this challenge first came out, and there was an image just like this on the first page of results, but not quite as well done. I like this. =) *6*

Well if that lense said Cannon I would swear I know who this is... but at least you shoot the right camera! And in my opinion this is pure Genius
