Taken on my last night at Yellowstone National Park on the boardwalks of Mammoth Hot Springs. The sky was very, very dark and the fine details of the Milky Way were easily visible with the naked eye. I painted the boardwalk with a headlamp. It is a single exposure taken at ISO 1600 on the 5D2.
The conversion leaves much to be desired, especially noise reduction, but I'm using the computer at my parent's house and am limited to CS2 and no noise software. Still, I have hopes for it. I've grown to like some noise, although the low frequency color stuff is very irksome.

I hope you didn't run into Coyotes this late being out (by yourself?). I noticed that the Coyotes in Yellowstone weren't afraid of humans much. There was one that started running towards me, I had to run to my car, open the door and dive into the car. Same exact thing happened to some other guy while I was there. He got out of his car to take a picture of a Coyote, the Coyote started to chase him, he had to get back to his car. He had totally freaked out. Congrats on your HM!
your exposure for the sky is top notch, it looks amazing! the pathway foreground is to bright and out of focus IMO and it leads the eye away from the beautiful background...overall very nice shot though
