I live in a small 2 square mile town. Lots of water (lakes), lots of trees, and a small amusement/water park. I think I've mentioned before, we consider this our own personal playground. Taken from the top of a moving ferris wheel.

I think this is suffering from being handheld at very slow shutter speeds. Nothing is sharp due to severe camera shake. Otherwise the composition is superb! I like the muted color but I think the exposure could be a tad brighter. You did well to get the sky exposed nicely without the foreground being too dark.
Great idea. It appears as if the camera quality or post-editting did not come out very clearly. I think this is a terrific concept... it would be beautiful with a camera mounted on a tripod at night!
