A single tree struggles to grow on the hillside of Cat Bells in the Lake District. Against the winds and storms this tree stands overlooking Derwent Water. No doubt many hikers and maybe even Wainright himself have admired this lonely tree as they have approached the peak of Cat Bells. The dark wet weather seemed the ideal time to capture this scene that ive enjoyed for so many years.
