the background has a lot going on, and I think I can spot a young man picture in there. the question if this is Dorian's own picture should remain a mystery I should think.
As for scoring goes... This will probably bomb. I love it though. It made me stop and think. Something that a lot of these photos have yet to do. Well done. Good usage of grain. Will be back to vote later. :)

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: Wonderfully mystery with this portrait. Enough form for the brain to make sense of it without giving us a hint of distracting detail. I think the window for that feat is quite narrow and you have hit it perfectly. The simultaneous softness and starkness is quite magical.
Critical stuff: Perhaps, the top could be trimmed just a tad...?
I'm usually not a fan of out of focus photography, but this one has such a beautiful texture, composition, and strange emotion that I had to give it a high score.
