Clever idea! Difficult subject to attempt. The bright boxers grab attention from the main(?) subject of the feet. So it's difficult to maintain balance and appropriate lighting for the left third of the photo.
cute concept, but I think the shot itself is a bit dark/underexposed and the crop isn't doing much for me...i guess what I am missing is a bit of a story about this. It just seems right now like two people with underwear around their ankles..not two lovers, which I think is a much better story!
