I was shooting with my zoomy lens and the pelican and the boat were at different distances. But because of the deep depth of field you can achieve with that lens, they're both in nice focus.
That overlay was initially nabbed from cgino a while back. I love it and use it frequently. I think I also fiddled around with a bunch of Nik Efex (as per usual). Don't remember, since it's been a while since I processed this.
Oh, I love the symmetry you've created here! Perfect to have the horizon in the middle; rules are made to be broken. The empty pane in the center is wonderful; the viewer can fill it with their imagination. My overlay is honored to be included :-)
love the simplicity alicia .. this draws me in .. i opened it once and 'went away' but had it in my mind .. i came back .. love the feeling of far away places, just over the horizon .. this is excellent .. :)
