This is an old abandoned church from the 1700's it was burned during the Revolutionary War - Rebuild - then burned again in the Civil War by Sherman. It was never reconstructed.
It is called Old Sheldon Church.
Official History:
Sheldon Church has lain in ruin for more than 120 years. Its gable roof, pediment, windows, and interior have disappeared, but the classic simplicity of its design still remains. One of the first Greek-Revival structures built in the United States, Prince William's Parish Church, erected 1745-55, was once one of the most impressive churches in the Province. During the Revolution, the Patriots are believed to have stored gun powder in it. In 1779, when the British General Augustine Prevost invaded the Lowcountry, the church was burned by a detachment which according to tradition, was commanded by the flamboyant local Tory, Andrew Deveaux. Rebuilt in 1826, the church was again burned by Sherman's men in 1865. The ruins are nevertheless a picturesque site from which the visitor can visualize the grandeur of the pre-Revolutionary church.
I love this location. It is out in the woods/swamp all alone. Wonderful location for photo shoots it is my goal to be here sometime in the early, early am with fog/mist rising around the building...hope you enjoyed it.

I honestly thought this would finish in the top 10. It's a lovely photo, with an interesting subject, and an unconventional edit that makes it unique. Keep shooting this kind of subject and keep exploring edits that convey an interesting perspective.
Really beautiful -- the awesome tree accenting the majestic ruins. I also thought it looked like IR. The selective desat was an excellent choice to simplify what might have been a busy shot with the green left in. BTW, I gave it a 9.
That tree branch is awesome. Not as old as the structure, but it has been there awhile. I'm not sold on the selective desaturation but then it has never been my thing. I do think you have a strong, solid composition here, though some might declare it "busy".
