A strong subject with a creamy background. The eye is fabulous and captures all the attention. Very nice!
The lighting's a little harsh though - it probably adds to the picture by making the bird look more like a predator than otherwise, but it's noticeable (especially the harsh shadow on the chin), and is therefore slightly distracting.
