I don't REALLY think this is terribly Ben-like, but it was taken in the spirit of Ben, and processed in his preferred tones. This is my cousin's gorgeous daughter, Sam, who succumbed to a nap while they were visiting yesterday. I had one of those moments when you realize you really ARE a photographer: I was chatting with her parents and saw her lying there, with that gorgeous light and had to jump up and take a picture.

Oh wow! This had an unprecedented surge in the final lap. Lurking in the mid-5s all week, it eked out a 6 at the last minute. Thank you everyone for your lovely comments and votes. And thank you Ben for being such a galvanizing force on DPC. An honor and a pleasure to emulate you.

Johanna, this image is one that initially did not capture me, but the more I stared at it...the more enchanted I became with the quiescent lighting and immortal pose especially in her sleeping almost marbled face. I loved the way you processed this image as well. Nicely polished. 8
