I got up pre-dawn to climb to the Baldwin Hills Observation Point, the highest spot in Los Angeles. Alas, upon sunrise, it was hazy with partial cloud cover, and all the "distant points" were obscured. I did notice this interesting cloud formation looking east, I think what we are seeing are shadows of clouds cast on a higher layer with the sun at a low angle. It was my wife who pointed out it looked like a city, I was going to call it Mano de Dios. I Dedicate it to her, and her continuing ability to point things out to me throughout our 21 year marriage! ;)
