When someone is laying down or is upside down, you still have to light them right. In this photo, the light is coming from "below" her face, which is called "monster lighting" because it's not terribly flattering. It's not very strong monster lighting here, but still, light coming from "above" her would have worked better because the unusual pose of the model already makes the photo look a bit strange to the viewer, who is used to seeing people the right side up. |
