 broad winged hawk seen behind my office while on a break. earlier in the day, i saw him flying past with a 4 ft. snake in it's talons, and couldn't get my camera up and on fast enough to snap. in the afternoon i got lucky and he came back to pose.

It seems to me the memoir should be about you, the photographer, as opposed to the bird, but at least you connected the title to a story. As for the photo, I have a few concerns, but you can decide whether they're worth your worrying about: the bird doesn't seem as sharp as the branches in between it and the camera, the composition feels a little unbalanced - try it with most of the left side cropped out, and the colors seem a little green.
