Were you surrounded by mist or a cloud while taking this shot? It's prettty fascinating. I like how the light leads the eye out of the fog and into the clearing.

I've always liked brooding photos, and this one is no different. The drab scene just makes the color all the more remarkable, and I really enjoy that. The clouds/fog also help to close the scene in; very nice.
i do like this shot, but i agree it's a bit dark. on my poor monitor i can barely make out what looks like fog on the left, is it? if it is, i wish i could see it more.
