Nope, not Dallas. Just a few miles to the west is Fort Worth.
I figure after a few more expert editing challenges, mini-planets will become a new cliche entry. I think I got mine in early enough in front of the trend to (hopefully) still be unique.
The sky is not as perfect as I would prefer, but it's my best mini-planet to date. The key to to getting a nice round planetball is a 360 degree panorama.
Expecting a few comments guessing this as mine. Pretty easy guess.

A few of the comments have asked how to do these. Here's the quick n' dirty overview:
-Take a panorama, at least twice as wide as tall. 360 degree stitched panoramos are best. The 360 degree view gives a nice round looking planet ball.
-Resize to a square. It will be distorted of course.
-Rotate 180 degrees so it is now upside down
-Apply the polar coordinates filter.
-Add cow. Longhorns are best, but those shaggy cows they have in Europe are pretty good too.
Congrats. I really liked this one. To add to your comments you could also google steriographic projection photography. I made a cool one of our state capital a while back while trying to learn how to do this. Fun to do for sure and yields a great image.
Hey Dude!! Congratulations!! I was sick n went to bed and forgot this ended last night... So better late than never!!!! Just showed this to Tom he said how come that one didn't win I like it best!
Congratulations. Steve. Love this, it's one of the most interesting mini planets I've come across. The longhorn is a great addition to avoid the typically featureless central void, and the pov is perfect.
