There are others on DPC who do this sort of image far better than me (such as Sarah's wonderful ) but this one came out ok. I can see a calendar of these type of wood abstracts. Probably next to the home-made organic jams and chutneys and posters advertising the local pilates and zumba classes.

I thought the colours and effect was very well done and gave you an 8. I would love to be able to produce shots like this. I feel this should have finished a lot higher.
I like the abstract take on the challenge. The green colors throughout the whole image look very nice all blended together. What I don't like is the big, lighter-colored blob right at the middle.
