Giant City State Park, Makanda, Illinois. A bluff along the Trillium Trail. There are lots of cliffs and fascinating, unique rock formations, and great hiking trails. This is about as minimalist as it gets there.

You have photographed a hidden gem of a landscape. It seems to take me back in time to a point when the creation was largely uninhabited. It is definitely a found spot. My interpretation of a minimalist landscape is to show a photograph of a largely uncluttered space to show it's openness. It's major compositional element is the use of negative space to create a focus point on the subject. Here the subject is a definite closed space. I love the photo, but it is not really minimalist.
