 Fire escapes and murals are rife in NYC. If the murals get replaced or torn, the fire escapes are still here in so many forms and shapes. For a while. When they will go, these photos will hopefully be found on a table at a flea market or ensconced in an old hard drive in a dump.

Fascinating image. I think I just gave it a quick 6. Would have given it more if I had considered it longer.
I think the left hand side of the image is a bit distracting (from very dark to very bright) and if I was taking the shot I'd've probably hit it with a bit multiple exposures to get some detail there. Still, maybe the contrast between the colour and black and white complements the depth of the image.
It's really nice. I think it should have seen the higher side of 5.5
