This is a studio set up. Taken on handmade paper, misted the shells. Composition is poor, but I did intentionally crop the edges of all the butterfly shells except the blue one.

Great eye! I love that blue one in the center. My first thought when I saw this was that they look like butterflies. Might I suggest a slight crop off the left side to eliminate the open space (sand)? It's a very nice shot!
A really nice collection - and the blue one works well for the challenge. I'm not thrilled with the composition though as there's too many shells on the edges, cut in half.
