You have picked very difficult lighting for this shot. For the scene to look good you really need to work with HDR software and bracketed images at different exposures. Unfortunately good photos are often as much dependent on post-processing as on what comes out of the camera. If the sun hadn't been in the picture you wouldn't have had all that glare and this would have come out much better.
Don't be discouraged by the way this looks. You're at the beginning of a great adventure and you will learn from your mistakes. |
