I ventured out a couple of times to try and get something interesting for this challenge but either just missed the right time or the weather didn’t cooperate. Then one afternoon I went to one of my favourite haunting grounds to try and find some flowers to shoot for the “Flowers in Garden & Field” challenge and the setting sun popped through the clouds onto some reeds. It left the rest of the background in shade so I raced down to the bank and grabbed a couple of shots before the clouds covered the sun for good. I liked the fact that the sun hit the reeds while the bridge and the background remained dark.
This hasn’t got a lot of ‘Wow’ factor going for it so I don’t have much expectation of it being particularly well received. The fact that the bridge is further in the background and higher there may be some that might consider this a DNMC but the sun was directly behind me and was less than an hour from setting. I will be happy with a mid 5’s for this.
Oh, by the way, there was virtually no flowers at this location (almost winter here) except for the remnants of one that I’ve sort of shoehorned into the other challenge.
