This requires an investment of at least a minute on the viewer's part. I've been here a few now. It's easy to dismiss all that darkness as noir, or worse, negative space. But hold it in your eye for a few moments, and an entire scene seems to emerge from it. (Are those headlights in the distance?)

Powerfully bleak.
