It's hard to get good results shooting in bright, contrasty, midday light. The composition is okay and it leads a viewer's eye through the photo well, but your midtones are underexposed, and you've got too much blotchiness in the clouds and the upper left corner.
There is something really going on with the clouds that they appear digital. I don't knwo what that affect is called or what causes it but it really stands out. Great shot though in the mid afternoon harsh light. A subject on the path with a little pop of red color would have helped tremendously.
