How fortunate that you saw them, AND that you were able to capture them so magnificently. Pay no attention to those snow-deprived folks. |

Great Horned are fabulous birds and very elusive.
Well captured and bravo for seeing them and capturing them through the snow. |

I didn't vote on it because I didn't understand the snowstorm part of the title. I thought I was missing something.
EDIT: The comment above is the last "after the challenge" comment I will make to this photographer. I will still comment on any image during the challenge.

Too much detail enhancement ... looks unnatural and busy. Nice capture though. |

Two points for Darwin. Outstanding. I didn't see them either. Then -- those eyes. Startling. |

these owls seem like they could be soooooo much better...to me (on my screen) they are dull and flat in tone...curves/levels would go a long, long way here...your noise filter seems to have done some very weird stuff here. |

Very nice, although the background is way too busy. This would have been perfect with a larger aperture to blur out the background. But i'm guessing this is a long telephoto and is at its full aperture. |

An astonishing picture that goes far, far ahead of all bird shots. Excellent work! |
