phew... taken with D90 and Tokina 12-24mm...
sadly to say... I have more... they just didn't fit onto the table... especially the 400mm lens... that one had to sit this one out... =)
not expecting a high score here... just couldn't resist having fun with this one... (Greed obviously...)

ok, well I'm quite surprised... It was as high as 7.6 at one point, but seems to have leveled off around 7.3 after a couple days... I honestly didn't think this pic wouldn't do quite so well... oh well, can't complain =)
and, yes... sadly to say, those are all mine... and yes... like I said above, I do have more lenses... it's a bit of an addiction of mine...
I also wanted to add that originally I only thought of this as "Greed", but I seem to also have hit on envy on many of the voters =)
Thanks for all the awesome comments! I have really enjoyed reading them all week =)

For anyone wondering I just looked up on google all the prices of the lenses and bodies (including the ones used to take the photo) and I added it up. The grand total comes out to be just over 20,000 dollars. Yes, this is all from google so some may be a bit off with the pricing but it was a general idea.
WOW!
hahaha... yea... I have a problem =)
But... remember... a Lens a Day Keeps the Doctor Away! =P
.
And what is it that you do to be able to pay for all this? And where do I sign to join you? Haha!

I have to be honest here. I rated this picture low because when I first saw it I disliked it immediately. The subject looked so greedy I was turned off the whole picture. When I saw that it had won, I looked at it with new eyes and started to appreciate the technical expertise required to shoot the photo and began to realize the power of the photo. It conveys it's subject extremely well, so well that I still don't like the photo! If I can ever take a photo that is half as powerful as this I will be happy.
Great job Shutter-For-Hire.
Thanks! I just checked out your waterfall pics... they are amazing! That's going to be my summer project... mastering the waterfall... look for me on the front page again =P
Let me know if ever you think of selling any lens. :-)Now, tell us which is your favourite lens???
hmmm... favorite??? well, It's a really tough call... I really do like to shoot wide so I'd lean towards the Tokina 12-24 used for the shoot, but all the lenses serve their purpose... I use the 35mm f/2D for all portrait sessions, the macro lenses for.. well macro shots,... ect...

Love it Eric!!! Nice to see you're back!! Congrats on the blue!
Thanks!
I'm going to try and enter at least one pic every other week to stay in the game... I started a new job and it took me a while to get settled... now I have the time to focus on challenges again...
I hope to be in the running regularly again... probably not on the front page too often, but I'll do my best =)
I think the huge umbrellas behind you are perfect for this shot and a great idea. It's almost like two big eyes waiting, watching...to see who might be coming...to take your lenses!
But it also draws your attention down to the action in the shot. I wouldn't have thought of putting umbrellas there, but it totally adds to the picture.
yea, I purposely aimed them inwards to give kind of animate them with the same expression as my face... as thought they were looking over my shoulders... I had always wanted to incorporate the umbrellas into a picture and I wasn't sure if they would cause any lens flare, and apparently they don't =)

Congratulations, I am so happy you won!
It is well deserved, and even better: I can use it to justify my own greed.
"See honey, I do need this new lens! Look at that guy and his normal collection of gear!" ;-)
Congrats. What's funniest is it was taken through a Tokina AF 12-24mm f/4.0 AT-X Pro DX and not a Nikkor :) (BTW I also have one of those excellent Tokina's on my D90).
The next step is realizing your addiction. Might I suggest you consider charitable giving...and you can start here! :P This is a really great shot! I love the perspective and the lighting! Really nothing negative to this one! Nice job!
This is funny, fitting the challenge (especially on a photography site) and well done. Hope it does good. How good is that table for you to trust it with all that gear? :)
Beacause I am a Nikon fan, I am simply envy about all the equipment you got hahahahaha. Great shot, excellent the distortion. I couldn't imaganie how much money have this guy in his hands. I will give you a 10! Congrats, hope to get a Ribbon.
What a great shot to represent greed! However, you get an extra point for the crystal clear image that must have been taken by a top range Canon with an L series lens creating envy for me as well :-)
