Wow, after 12 votes I'm still well above a 7+ score, and I already have 3 great comments!
I've never had a photo do this well this early on so I'm hoping it's a good sign that I'll at least end up with a new PB. That would be awesome, but it's a long week ahead!

I can't believe it took over 20 votes before my score dropped below a 7.0! That in itself is a victory for me....a mind boggling one at that. I'm thrilled!

Down a bit, but that's to be expected with the amount of votes now. Still, extremely happy with how it's going...very exciting!

Thanks Deb, I've had quite a lot of people ask me what's in the box, but I've never revealed it....so far. Rest assured there IS something in that box...which is very old. Probably around 55 to 60 years old and means a lot to me. :) Thanks for all your wonderful comments on my photos today. :)
A huge thanks once again to all that left your wonderful comments. This has really made my day and I REALLY appreciate all of you that took the time to vote and leave your kind words. THANK YOU!
Congrats! This is a great shot and deserved to ribbon. The richness of the colors, the glow of the light, the simplicity of the lines - very very nice work.
First ribbon, congratulations! This image grew on me, wrapped in mystery and with all those wonderful colors and textures. Love the dark corners too :).
Congratulations on your first ribbon!!! It's really quite a rush isn't it. Great image. Many more ribbons to come I'm sure. Don't forget to take a screen shot of DPC for a momento of being on the front page.
Love this shot David...congratulations on the placing and your first ribbon, I know how good it feels, your photo is well deserving and my favorite of the challenge.
Excellent image Dave! Lots to look at with all of the different colors, shapes, and textures plus pondering on what's in the box. Congrats on the red and your first ribbon!

congrats!!! its been a very exciting week for the both of us!! from another 'nut' to the other, great job! i hope to see you on the front page again! :)
Very nice image, I love the wall paper, door, wooden flor and of course the red box. The lighting in the room is good, and you have a nice saturation of color.
My favorite of the challenge. how you were able to get bright colors to be so melancholy is impressive, and it makes this shot sing. Well lit, tons of great textures, and perfect placement of you object.
