Congratulations on making a picture of animal sex REALLY cool. So many things are great (colours, focus, title, content, humour, etc.) about this shot and I'm disappointed it didn't ribbon.

Hey Bassie: This is a winner, regardless. This is one of those strong port shots.

Man,. every site I go to I see bug sex. Kinda sucks that these nasty little creatures can get it but I can't. 7 on my scale.

I bet they had a good meal together after. Good DOF, colours and composition. 7

Odd title (though funny if the flies were a bit out of practice at sex) - nice macro.

nice job capturing the colors of the flys.

Excellent shot with very well balanced lovely colours and superb detail. I also love the DOF. The only thing I am a bit uneasy about is the format of this image. It does look a bit like a forced composition. But I love this image. Well done.

I think this is the only pic take ever with flies having it :)

Excellent. Nice clarity and color.

great colors and details - the gray wood and the diagonal grain make a super back drop, and the rust nail a perfect humerous touch with the title. 9

I hope everyone appreciates this picture, along with the title...Beautiful work!

Yet another bug hunt. I like the focus and the diagonal grain of the wood. The nail head does a nice job of balancing the image. With TWO bugs, you can claim Macro and Action! (LOL) Nice image. Good luck.

just when you thought you'd seen it all...great shot! crop is a little tight, but not enough to take away from the entertainment value.

Too funny!!! Very nice capture... was this actual nature, or were you able to stage it using dead flies? If actual nature, very impressive!

YIKES~! Flys doing it! The photo is great. Great focus and detail. I love that the foreground is sharp, but behind the flys is not. Well... and there's sex involved! ~10

I think you caught the moment of truth there. Did they sign the model release?
