Thanks to everyone for taking the time to vote and leave comments.
I was actually on the fence about submitting this one since I thought it might not do so well, little did I know.
It stayed above 7 up til about 50 votes then settled at 6.8 for most of the remainder of voting. In the last 36 hours it made a nice rally and went back above 7 for a short bit this morning before settling back down.
This spot is on the eastern most point on the island of Oahu that overlooks the Makapu'u lighthouse. It's about a mile walk each way and I'd highly recommend it if you're visiting Hawaii.
My goal was to recreate this former entry so I woke up at 4am to head to this spot. I was sad that there was a storm heading in which blocked the sunrise but I guess in reality I was lucky since the clouds are what really makes this shot.
I set up my camera/tripod with a timer remote and ran to the ledge to get the shot. It was a little nerve racking since that drop is probably 300 feet and straight down.

Oh Man! I am so happy this did get a ribbon in the end! It's such an amazing, award-worthy shot! Sorry it had to come at the expense of a DQ, but this one really did deserve a ribbon! CONGRATULATIONS!
