A lovely study of light and texture. I have Ikea plate that have similar signs of use. I don't much like the hotspot along the rims on the left side, but that is pretty minor. My pick for red.
I love how you highlighted the smooth texture in the plates against the roughness the chips creates and how they're not just stacked on each other all aligned. :) Simple and effective.
I kept wanting to not like this shot because I felt like it missed the challenge (chips, not chipped). Regardless, I love this shot. The lighting and framing and rich hues and depth really pull me in. It also helps that I really approve of your title as well :).
