I am participating in the "Why a '5' not a '6'?" commenting activity (see recent forum thread). Viewers are asked to leave a comment with some of their votes of '5' letting the photographer know why, for them, it fell short of a vote of '6'. If you have found this comment useful, you may wish to offer some of your own to those images where you vote 5.
I do like this. I wonder if it's candid. A slightly better angle for your subject, something that showed him passionately engaging bow to strings in silhouette, might have put this over the top into six or seven territory for me. If it's candid though (as I suspect it is) then the opportunity just might not have presented itself.
Wow, I really like this. The matching sillhoettes in the foreground and background are really interesting. I love the sunset colors and the violinists, the two mesh really well. 9
