Creepy, yes, but lovely. There's something about the floral pattern behind her versus the intricate texture of the dress that is quite lovely. I enjoy the fearlessness of the contrasty light.
Love the detail in that dress. I get the feeling of shyness to the point of not even noticing the face. Possibly a Quaker.

Thanks John...funny about the creepy...others have thought she seemed dead, perhaps the stiffness and the pose of the hands lend to that, and of course the missing head. I never saw it that way, I was too busy swimming in all the detail.
