The whole reason for shooting this is to show off the bowl. My sister made it. Isn't it gorgeous? But to meet the challenge, it had to have stuff in it, so a trip to Costco (which is a nightmare on a Saturday, mind you) was in order to get the limes. And oh how they've gone up in price lately! Used to be you could get a bag of limes for $4. Now it's $7! Horrors! :-)
Shot this morning with dull flat gray light on the sidewalk out front, after a slight morning drizzle; 1/3 stop underexposed, handheld. Was going to reshoot with the tripod if I liked what I saw, but it got brighter out before I got that far. Processed using Lightroom with a preset (300v1, tweaked to tone down the blown highlights it created) then Photoshop. I may get this one printed. I kinda like it.
Betting no one will guess this is me, huh?

Congrats, Deb, on your top ten. Very nice treatment of the subject, I'm happy to have been one of your 9s (the highest score I gave on this challenge). Cheers!
Even when it's not your quirky wonderful stuff, I still love your photos! I gave this a 9. Spectacularly beautiful -- the limes just glow! Congrats on a marvelous top 10!
