 OK, so not really an impressionist image at all. This is more abstract. I duplicated the background layer and applied in multiply mode, 50% to get the deeper colours. Otherwise no fancy editing.

And yes, this is Venice, not that you can tell.

I like the way the strong orange and blue work off each other in this. It makes me "feel" the motion of the water because of the way the orange squiggle appears.
