I was in the San Francisco area for some training. I wanted to go shoot the bridge. My friend that lives there said the fog was going to roll in by the time we got there and probably wouldn't be a good photograph. I insisted.
We got to the top just as the fog was about to complete its path across the bay. The fog came in very low and left the skyline basking in the sun light.
I saw the boat and quickly set up the tripod and camera. I got 2 shots off before the boat was completely obscured by the fog. The other shot the boat is not as clear.
Very pleased with the result. I don't think I've ever seen a shot of the Golden Gate Bridge, with the fog, with the skyline so clear and a boat going out of the fog. Even after a Google image search, I didn't find anything quite like it.

this is a hell of an image! very lucky weather conditions indeed, and the color coordination between the boat and the bridge is uncanny. congratulations on the high finish, but should have finished much higher! It should be printed big for proper viewing... and I hope 1x takes it, I voted :)
