I placed the scissors on a black mat-board in dim ambient light, set the shutter to f22 & panned the camera in an arc while rotating it to get the 'leap.' Auto-adjust tone & contrast, curves & BW adjustment layers. No crop.

Awesome image. I'd love some space around it but that doesn't mean much. I like the pain and helpless struggle, and a bit of context would add, I think. Nice shot.
