A flower (a kind of Yellow Daisy, I think) outside my place of work. The light was particularly interesting at a low angle and was partially diffused by tree branches. I first spotted this group of flowers several days before I took my camera to work to capture it and was delighted to see that most of the petals were still in this state of unfolding. I set the shutter to compensate for some breeze and got in as close as I could and waited for a lull in the light gusts. The flower fills the frame in my original (pretty striking image, itself), but I decided on a tight crop to really show off the details and textures.

I must have had a brain hiccup while composing my description. I did submit an image of a Yellow Daisy for an earlier challenge, but this one definitely has white petals. The center of this flower is definitely yellow, though. As I came into the building at work today, I noticed that the petals on all of the flower were fully open now.
