If you want attention paid to the cookies, minimize the backround. Here the backround draws the eye away from your subject. You don't need a fancy backdrop, just clear some counter space over by the coffee maker, drag over a desk lamp for more dramatic lighting and you have a cleaner shot. They do look tasty, but your setup hurt your score.

They look tasty, but the composition is not that interesting. Maybe a single overhead light shining down to really highlight the cookies. The background is too distracting. Can I still have a cookie though? Please?
