Beautiful lighting on her face. I think I would be tempted to crop this into a portrait and cut off more of the negative space on either side of her face. I would also cheat and readjust the tilt and make the edge of the white wall go straight up and down.

Like the BW nature of the photo, however may want to show more of the face. Also a tighter crop of the post.

I think framing in thirds would have helped this. The right third would be plenty for your barricade. Half the frame is too much.

why so small? kid is cute, but the image lacks the wow factor
