This was accomplished with two small lights tied to a string, and spun around in complete darkness for two seconds. Then a little cropping, contrast bump and saturation adjusts in photoshop 6.0 did the rest.

Abstracts do not tend to do well in the challenges, but I like this one very much. The vibrant colors against a black background is dynamic. I also like your choice of color for the border, it adds alot to the composition. There are two small places in the light pattern that appear a little too bright, it seems to be where the light stick was closest to the camera.
I know they allow borders now, but I think this one would have been more powerful with out the border, or with a darker color border. The orange of the border competes with the swirls of light. 7
