Thank you so much for the kind words and high votes. My ribbons are few and far between, so I appreciate every one. For this shot, half the credit goes to my 9 year old son, Ryan, who was responsible for placing/dropping our 15 week old Maltipoo, Annabelle, into the slot left in the middle of the set up. My job was to take the shot before she ran off. It is hard to see, but the set up is basically on the edge of our dining room table, so Annabelle didn't have too much room to run. Several of you commented on how well trained she is, but that is part of the deceptive art of photography. Annabelle would run, scoot, slide, sniff or knock over the stuffed animals on virtually every shot, and my son and I would set up again, and re-shoot. Overall we took more than 60 shots. Nonetheless, it was great fun and Ryan and I were laughing out loud at many of Annabelle's actions and expressions. All in all it was great fun, and the ribbon was an added bonus. Thank you again.

Too funny your Comments... Never occured to me, just thought was a sweet pup to lay right there in the middle ... Shows how an Action shot can turn into a Static shot with lots of work.. LOL Congratulations a Great Photo!
Fabulous image! Congrats on you well-deserved ribbon! These shots are never easy and you clearly had the patience to wait it out until you got the shot. that is the mark of a good photographer....
This is so cute. What you didn't say in your blurb was how many shots did it take to get the right one. Having worked with little kids and animals, sometimes is just luck in getting any shot much less one this good. Annabelle is precious. I think my fav part is the bit of her red tongue sticking out.
OMG! That is TOOOOOO funny. Ok, this is MY pick for the blue. The lighting behind the little black one (real or stuffed???) is spot on. No pun intended :-)
Great! Exposure and contrast look wonderful. IMO, the vignette/shading around the setup is a little dark? Let me guess... the one in the middle is the real one? That's one well behaved dog (unlike mine)!
