Made a minor adjustment to my 24-105 lens and it seems to respond better.
Not 100% pleased with the hilite/shadow on his neck, but I was working with speedlites and could not get it positioned correctly to fix. In hindsight I should have used the speedlites with umbrellas in the front and soft boxes in the back. In total 5 lights used.
here is a compilation
No idea how this will fair, but I really like it.
I will post lighting and more pics from this session later.
I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: An unusual portrait of simply stunning quality. The lighting, the choice of background colour, the precise but casual pose, the disk, the clothing, the glasses and most of all the processing. I'd love to be able to pull off work of this quality.
Critical stuff: Perhaps the highlight on the back of the neck - the longer I look at the image, the more prominent it seems to be; and the clipped elbow.
Overall: An image of superb clarity. Looking forward to seeing who made this. If I was betting I'd spread my money between LVicarilovethelight and njsabs.
