4-image HDRI with Nik HDR Efex Pro, further processing with OnOne for the soft, black undercoat.
"The Four Elements" is an ancient mystical concept. Whatever is solid and substantial, is an Earth Elemental. Liquids are Water Elementals, whilst gases and vapors are Air Elementals. Anything in what we now call a plasma state is a Fire Elemental, specifically including the sun.
In this image, the trees are Earth, the sky and clouds are air, the marsh is water, and the sun is fire.

Wonderful colors and details. But i guess a little too much details. The clouds, the not-so-still water, and the twigs are fighting for prominence, that the setting (or rising) sun is merely a minor component of the shot. Still a 7 from me.
This is an HDR shot, yes? I'm always a little ambivalent about HDR. It always feels gimmicky to me, but then you can get such wonderful colors and textures out of it, too. Anyway, the colors are spectacular, but I feel like all the trees and scrub in the foreground is distracting.
